Hey everyone. I've received few requests of people asking me about how I created my logo animation you see infront of each of my videos. Decided to do a quick tutorial / lesson video to show you that and in general on how to create a simple but beautiful handwriting effect in Adobe After Effects CC 2017. I hope this will be useful to some of you as it's quick to do but in the same time really elegant way to animate your logos, text or images. I am going into too many details so if you have any questions or need more info please do let me know and I will try to respond as soon as I can. <br /> <br />Quick process breakdown: <br />1. Create new composition with your desired settings. <br />2. Create background layer or not (if you want to animate over alpha channel - transparent). <br />3. Create text layer and write your text. <br />4. Switch to the pen tool clicking on it's icon or pressing G on your keyboards. <br />5. Draw masks for each letter (with the text layer selected). <br />6. After drawing is done go to Effects & Presets and search for Stroke (in Generate category). <br />7. Add it to the text layer and don't forget to check the box for All Masks. <br />8. Set your brush size and choose your other settings. After that add keyframes to animate either the Start or End properties. <br />9. Export to your liking. <br /> <br />Video shot on Blackmagic Design's Ursa Mini 4k EF cinema camera. Lens used is Sigma Art 18-35mm f/1.8 DC HSM. Tripod used was the Benro A373T with S8 head. Screen was captured using Ashampoo Snap 8. <br /> <br />Camera settings used: <br />Resolution - 3840 x2160 (4k Ultra HD) <br />ProRes 422 LT <br />25 fps <br /> <br />Export settings: <br />Resolution - 1920 x 1080 (Full HD) <br />Quicktime H.264 <br />25 fps <br /> <br />Audio recorded in camera using the RODE Filmmaker Kit wireless lavalier microphone + the Invisilav microphone hiding accessory. <br /> <br />Video color corrected and color graded in DaVinci Resolve 12.5 Studio.
